Daddy had the pleasure of attending a live performance of “Bright Sun”, aka Amelia, belting out some Thanksgiving favorites in her K3 class party. They practiced these songs in their weekly music class under lock and key, not to be sung at home so they would be a surprise to us parents. So without further adieu…

Ok, I know it is not Christmastime, BUT to me the most wonderful time of the year is OCTOBER! I love when the weather begins to turn cooler, football (well, ok, tailgating) is in full swing, my beloved scarves and boots are stationed at the front of my closet, and pumpkins can be found on every corner! With days filled with hayrides, pumpkin patches, parties, parades, Boo In the Zoo, horse riding, pumpkin carving, and of course trick-or-treating, our October was jam-packed with tons of memorable fall fun!

This year Amelia has fallen in love with all things Minnie Mouse and dress-up, so obviously a Minnie Bow-tique Birthday Bash at Club Tabby with her closest gal pals was a must! While I could try to describe the incredible amount of girly-fun that was jam-packed into this party, I think the official description from the party application says it all…
“Let the paparazzi follow you to the “Party Palace” and feel like celebrities after every party girl gets the makeover of their choice in the salon. Then move on to the “Party Palace”, where you get to: dress up in our Hollywood wardrobe, socialize under the disco balls, tear up the dance floor, and model on the catwalk.”
Let’s just say I left really wanting one of these parties for myself!
The girls breaking it down!
No party is complete without the Chicken Dance!

Today you are 4 and my heart swells with pride for the incredible little girl you have become. I don’t know if I’ll ever stop thinking that time simply continues to go by way too quickly. You fill our home with giggly-girly laughter, sweet smiles, PINK, and, constant, oh-so-precious chatter from dawn till dusk. As your daddy continuously points out, your mind is much like mine and the wheels simply never stop turning. Even at bedtime you always have at least 10 more things you MUST tell us once we have already said our goodnights and are on our way out the door. I admire your passion for those you love. It often takes a while to be welcomed into your circle of trust, but those that make it in are loved, cared for, and prayed for by you unconditionally. You are strong and continue to overcome more obstacles than many do in an entire lifetime with both grace and unwavering strength. Simply put, your daddy and I love you more than any words could express and can’t imagine our lives without you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, sweet Miss A!

This past weekend we had a blast tailgating with some amazing friends and cheering on the Tigers in Death Valley. Oliver was a pro attending his first game proving his blood must run orange like the rest of the Cone Crew, and of course Amelia loved every minute and was in awe of the massive orange balloon release as the players ran down the hill, the continuous display of fireworks, and cheering (she was very excited to know the words this time around) throughout the game.

"Mommy, I'm getting a little bored spinning around in circles so I'm going to make a new game where I spin in triangles and squares now instead." Silly NUT!
AND only Miss A would insist that we bring "pink-only" sprinkles from home because the ice cream shop "forgot" to offer her this sprinkle option last time.
Since the kiddos officially started school yesterday, I was rudely reminded that I am WAY overdue on writing a post about all of our summer fun. I have to admit I’m typically always counting down the days until fall arrives, but this year I’m feeling a little bittersweet as the summer season comes to a close. With 30th birthday celebrations, countless days at the pool, downtown festivities, cooking out with friends, and trips to Atlanta, Tybee Island, Savannah, and even Sky Top to pick apples on an unusually cool day, we have had an amazing summer! Since there were WAY too many pictures to sort through I hope you enjoy the below albums!
And of course I cannot forget to include that Oliver began walking this summer!!!!
AND a little glimpse into our daily lives to show you just how silly our munchkins are!!!
Oh yes, and since I started by mentioning heading back to school, here are pictures of the munchkins on their first day of K3 and Mother’s Morning Out!

Yesterday was a big day for Oliver - his very first haircut! There were no tears and he was of course quite the little ladies’ man among the hairdressers flashing his cute little grin. His new ‘do is quite snazzy and has made him look like such a big boy.
Although as it turns out Oliver was pretty keen on this “shedding” idea and decided to surprise me with this lovely little sight during what was supposed to be naptime…
Yes, that would indeed be Mr. O decked out in his FULL birthday suit. I have to admit that once I was finished hysterically laughing, I was quite impressed with his skills. After all, taking of his shirt alone had to have felt like quite an accomplishment!

How can it be that you are already one!? Where has the time gone!? It seems as though it was only yesterday when we all sat snuggled up together on the couch for the first time as a brand new family of four!
It certainly goes without saying that you have indeed brought the pizzazz to our family. You are our determined little investigator, always on a mission to figure EVERYTHING out. Whether it is how to make a toy work, your “ya-ya” laugh, or more commonly, scale your way to the highest point in our home, you are always determined to achieve your goal. You have a smile that could melt anyone’s heart which I know you will work to your advantage on your daddy and me for years to come. And although you have always been our mover and shaker, in the midst of your busyness you will sometimes take a quick break to crawl onto my lap and lay your head down for just a moment to squeeze in a quick little “nuggle” - I love these moments more than you will ever know! So, without further ado- HAPPY BIRTHDAY my sweet Ollie! I love you to the moon and back! XOXOXOXO

Father’s Day was a great day and I feel truly blessed to be Amelia and Oliver’s dad. The day started out with a wake up song that Jenny practiced with Amelia all week. The most impressive thing is that Amelia kept it a secret until it was time!
Next I was presented with this homemade gem. Oliver and Amelia both helped make it:
A little bit later Jenny cooked up a great brunch. Hash brown, cheese, bacon, and egg casserole. YUM! Next up was a trip to the pool. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time.
For dinner we went to Runway Café, which is a restaurant at the Greenville Downtown Airport. This is a small airport for private planes and charter flights. The restaurant backs up to the runway so you can watch the planes take off, and there is a great playground complete with a miniature runway. Amelia had fun playing pilot, and it appears Oliver is showing off some early chugging skills! (proud daddy moment here)
After we put the kids to bed, Jenny cooked up an AMAZING dinner. Huge bacon wrapped scallops, smoke gouda mashed potatoes, wine, and amaretto cheesecake. I am SPOILED!
I can’t wait until next year!

11 months that is!! This month I’m certain my baby suddenly transitioned into a big boy. Gone are the days he inchwormed along the ground. This little guy MOVES with purpose and speed around our house ALL DAY long! I say “moves” because at any point in time he can be seen crawling, climbing, walking along walls and furniture, doing his little bebop dance moves to his favorite tunes, rolling around with Miss A, scooting himself along on his ride-on front loader….the list goes on. He’s becoming quite the little jokester and seems to always be making us laugh. Oliver is even saying and associating meaning with some words these days. His favorite being “done” and our names; Mama, A-dum (yes, he has apparently decided dada wasn’t working for him), and Ya-ya which is what is calls Amelia. I can’t believe that in just a few short weeks this little cutie will be ONE!!!
Oliver is very tactile. He LOVES any book that has “touch-me” features.
Oliver has decided that he no longer needs our assistance heading upstairs. He can go all the way to the top all by himself (with Mommy or Daddy close behind) and is soooo proud each time he completes his mission!
I left the room for 45 seconds tops and this is what I returned to find- TROUBLE!!!
